"What do you think will come after Nolan's last Batman film?"

Another one from the Dept. of Bad Ideas....

@midnightz: "Hollywood" has been doing this for ages already, just not in real time. I could see a camera or software setup that would be able to do this in real time on set, but usually sets are pretty chaotic and it's much easier to just "fix it in post."

@sans_fi: Yeah they did the Korean animator gag many years ago, with Troy McClure, I believe. That made it so much funnier since it was smarmy and a little frightening, with the animators working under armed patrols and looking visibly terrified.

I'm not easily impressed by aircraft demonstration vids, but that is one of the most eye-worthy flying machines to hit the air in some time. Looks sleek, efficient, and awesome!

@sc4ld: Angry galaxy is angry.

@MarcusMaximus: I read many years ago that such a ship could have a smoke cloud emitted from the nose and the micro-particles of the smoke would obliterate any debris that gets in the way.

The balloon/rocket is an old concept, which I also updated for an (ultimately unused) PM cover a few years ago. Of course, mine was larger and carried people in the rocket (plane).

They just don't make time capsules like they used to...

Just wait til they try to land a probe on Europa.

@Doctor_Memory: I saw LtROI on Netflix a couple weeks ago and the movie has literally haunted me. Then I saw the LMI preview and was shocked at how the setting and even the lighting is basically a do-over of the Swedish version. The positive reviews by consumers of all three versions intrigues me, but not enough to

"Michael" is high on my list of having the most awesome job in the world. Beautiful work.

I can't wait til we can go there and finally have a place to just throw our trash on the ground, mine minerals and oil with nookuler bombs, and use all the damn chlorofluorcarbon hairspray we like! Paradise, indeed!

@gigshaft: I suppose I'm just in a different movie demographic who wants just a bit of filling to go under the icing. But I would argue that all the best monster stories are about what the monster *does* to us, figuratively speaking.

This looks crackling, but we've seen it all before:

@Cliff_Dangers: Yes, very much! I can't see the advantage of putting those flat wing right beneath the rotor wash (and no, this is not an autogyro, as many have pointed out).

@Fauxcused: Where Piranhas are concerned, nothing beats Chihuana (a supposedly real production, though not from Syfy.)
