[laughs in Ghibli]

Arcane was a pleasant surprise for sure. Not just a show about a game, but a game that I don’t even like... but one of my favorite bits of TV of the year.

I have that exact same red festive shirt, and wore it to the office Christmas lunch which was the Friday before this episode aired. I wonder if any of my coworkers noticed that.

(I don’t have a white suit jacket and I’m pretty sure if I were shot in the chest with an arrow, I would require immediate medical attention

I feel like Arcane could have been a contender for one of the best... granted I’m pretty sure I watched fewer than 8 shows in 2021.

I hope it’s not premature to list The Expanse up there.

As someone who sunburns easily, and heat and bright direct sunlight are anxiety triggers... it’s all downhill from here :P

Let me be the first to say

That seems to be the Microsoft way.

Their APIs even more so.

Does anyone really want to buy a virtual house that someone else made? Using real money... I mean, using shady cryptocurrency with a market value that gets randomized every few weeks that was bought with real money?

I just want to know... why?

NFTs: a certificate of authenticity authenticating that the certificate is authentic. Actual value to human civilization: less than zero

I was reading a similar article about Christmas traditions around the world and how “weird” they are and was struck by how weird they pretty much all are. The entire holiday is just one big pile of non-sequiturs from Christianity, paganism, capitalism, crazy party ideas, and stupid things parents invented to keep kids

Mullvad’s “connection check” is misleading. I’m using a competing VPN, and it’s giving me 3 warnings out of 4 items:

One is “Not using Mullvad VPN” (snort)

Sounds entirely too much like my boss... all government spending is evil, except when they’re spending it on our company.

It’s pretty forgiving for the most part. There’s no sudden turns or falling to your death or having to redo the same little section over and over (unlike Venineth, which it kind of reminds me of).

There are a couple of places where getting to a powerup was a bit tricky but it’s possible there was some other puzzle bit

Bacon everything was trendy about 8 years ago. I’m glad that’s over — most of them were less than the sum of their parts.

If only there were some cool new technology that would allow multiple images with accompanying text on a single webpage, instead of a slide show!

I don’t know whether I’m disappointed or pleased that “correct horse battery staple” isn’t on the list.

Big Trouble even says so pretty directly. “You are not brought upon this world to get it!”

It seems to me like the Laconia storyline could be a whole different show.

I love canned cranberry sauce. I also love homemade cranberry sauce. I’d happily take both if they were on the table.
