We’ve never had any trouble just microwaving butter until it can be poured (and mixed by hand). It doesn’t brown, and it doesn’t separate into different layers/densities of liquid as if the emulsion has broken.

I miss the Pebble Time. I used to make custom watchfaces for it, which was a lot of fun (except for the occasional weird support question or angry feature demand from people who didn’t appreciate that I was doing it for fun and giving them away for free).
The free market has spoken!
At this very moment I would have to go with Spirited Away, but there are about three close seconds.
I just clicked for the cute bearded dragon pictures...
This was a fun article to see. For a couple of years I performed with a taiko group, and it is indeed a hell of a workout. More so with full-weight bachi and real drums and dancing around, but even the plastic ones that come with the Hori controller will burn calories when you do it enough.
For the most extreme taiko…
Right now the main thing I wish for in Chrome is to be rid of all the suggestions that appear in the search/URL bar that are not from my own history.
The sports and celebrities stuff is annoying enough, but the corporate brands really annoy me.
There’s this guy, Jim Spanfeller, you’d probably get along great with him. He was adamant that Deadspin “stick to sports.” I hear that worked out just great.
Huh, I got bored and frustrated with Warframe pretty quickly. It was either grind the same missions over and over, or face areas that inevitably killed me before I could finish any quests.
I’ve never tried Hades. Is it good?
“Ankler” might be a good name for a surprise cat.
I believe her full name is Eddie Covered in Bees! Aaaaaagh! Izzard.
The only times I spit are when I’ve got some bad phlegm (and it goes in a tissue) or after I brush my teeth (and it goes down the sink). Somehow I’ve made it 49 years without spitting in public spaces.
I’d be happy to play an MMO, as long as it’s a “smooth ride” sort like Guild Wars 2. I tried Minecraft, Breath of the Wild, Warframe, and: big meh. But I still go on GW2 binges every few months, while wishing for some new world and new mechanics to play with.
It’s freaking expensive to develop an MMO, and if you cut…
Even aquarium nerds don’t use waterproof power strips. They just don’t put power strips on the floor, and have drip loops on their power cords.
What, you can’t use Google?
Here’s a business-friendly proposal to go to 90% clean energy by 2035... and the energy will be cheaper, it will cost less than running the current coal plants and will save more than a trillion in health costs. This is a win without even talking about a climate disaster nightmare scenario.
The cost is a small fraction of what it would cost to do nothing.
Hmm, Gmail, YouTube and search have been completely fine for me this morning since about 5:30 AM. Maybe it was only down while I was in the shower.
On the one hand, crunch represents a failure of management and/or intentional exploitation of labor by management, and it sucks.
On the other, the people doing “creative vision and innovation in direction and design” are probably not the ones who set the schedules, budgets, hiring practices, company policies and so on.
