I’ve found that shampoo works half-decently for defogging (and shedding droplets from) a shower shaving mirror, compared to everything else I’ve tried.

I am not anything remotely resembling a microbiologist or a doctor. But I’d follow the same general stuff they’ve been saying about hand sanitizer vs. soap: prolonged contact with alcohol to kill a virus, but a few seconds with a surfactant will loosen it and running water will blow it away.
So no way would I trust…
From my experience so far, at our grocery store that closes at 10PM, it’s not very crowded after 8PM. But I’m not sure how that affects what’s in stock; we haven’t seen toilet paper in a store for over two weeks now and everything else seems pretty picked over. (We did finally manage to get some big-roll commercial TP…
Hmm, I thought for myself it was because we had a habit of going to restaurants almost daily, and the rhythm of cooking and doing dishes etc. is very different. And no longer commuting to work and taking the usual set of breaks and little daily rituals. But yeah, the stress thing makes a whole lot of sense too.
What bothers me about it is I have Find My Phone disabled...
The loaner Camry I drove yesterday while getting my tires replaced had an analog fuel gauge and speedometer, a screen in the center that could show a fuel gauge, and a small screen above the steering wheel that could also show both a digital speedometer and a fuel gauge.
The digital speedometer was better than the…
Yep. Russian or not, she is definitely a tool.
I really wish “Universal” Serial Bus cables were a little more universal. Having some cables that can charge and carry data, some that only carry data, some that only charge, some that can charge fast and a completely different type that charges fast, was a mistake.
Some people may make stupid claims about honey, but it is scientifically legit.
This is a truck designed for high-speed pizza delivery in the Valley burbclaves. But with all that steel it’s gonna get pooned by every Kourier worth their smartwheels.
Whenever I see a comically oversized symbol of fragile masculinity taking up one and a half spaces in the parking garage at the very white-collar office building where I work, I just want to ram the stupid thing.
But this... I would have to admire the chutzpah of someone who chose to drive this thing.
Water isn’t “pollution” either unless your lungs fill up with it.
What do you put on your cereal? And you don’t make cocoa with water, do you?
I don’t much like drinking milk, unless it’s occasionally a little bit with brownies or cookies, but it has its place.
Also Dean Foods makes the best French onion dip.
If this were text, I could skim it for possibly useful information instead of staring at a screen.
Not a joke, but I used to be a developer in the computer game industry and nearly everyone told me how much fun it must be “to get to play games all day.”
I didn’t bother telling them “why doesn’t this thing render?” and “what insanity is the management going to inflict today?” and “why I don’t I work in an industry…
I really like semi-open headphones, and use them for (electronic) music production, music listening, gaming, etc.
I just bought some closed-back Bluetooth earphones for work and ugh, they just don’t sound right at all. It’s like wearing buckets over my ears.
Head level with the headrest? In my car, I’m lucky if my head isn’t brushing against the ceiling. So then, I tilt the seat back and can barely reach the wheel with my arms. So I scoot the seat forward, and then my knees are hitting the underside of the dashboard.
I regularly can’t recall on demand the names of people I work with on a regular basis.
My solution is just not talking to people. (Almost kidding...)
I was just reflecting on this yesterday afternoon, when the music on my commute was interrupted by a little “pop” noise and the oh-so-important message that a record label on Bandcamp which I never heard of released something new... and a second one to notify me that I had an email from Bandcamp telling me the same…
On the one hand: I kind of don’t understand the appeal of shipping.
On the other: I totally ship Lapidot.
But back on the first: I kind of hope Lars and Sadie don’t become a thing romantically, because it’s been set up as too easy a thing. But that they find happiness in space piracy and rock stardom respectively, and…
