If this were text, I could skim it for possibly useful information instead of staring at a screen.

Not a joke, but I used to be a developer in the computer game industry and nearly everyone told me how much fun it must be “to get to play games all day.”

I didn’t bother telling them “why doesn’t this thing render?” and “what insanity is the management going to inflict today?” and “why I don’t I work in an industry

I really like semi-open headphones, and use them for (electronic) music production, music listening, gaming, etc.

I just bought some closed-back Bluetooth earphones for work and ugh, they just don’t sound right at all. It’s like wearing buckets over my ears.

Head level with the headrest? In my car, I’m lucky if my head isn’t brushing against the ceiling. So then, I tilt the seat back and can barely reach the wheel with my arms. So I scoot the seat forward, and then my knees are hitting the underside of the dashboard.

I regularly can’t recall on demand the names of people I work with on a regular basis.

My solution is just not talking to people. (Almost kidding...)

I was just reflecting on this yesterday afternoon, when the music on my commute was interrupted by a little “pop” noise and the oh-so-important message that a record label on Bandcamp which I never heard of released something new... and a second one to notify me that I had an email from Bandcamp telling me the same

On the one hand: I kind of don’t understand the appeal of shipping.

On the other: I totally ship Lapidot.

But back on the first: I kind of hope Lars and Sadie don’t become a thing romantically, because it’s been set up as too easy a thing. But that they find happiness in space piracy and rock stardom respectively, and

Our cat loves to play fetch — sometimes it’s difficult to get him to stop. He’ll bring a toy or a torn piece of cardboard or something and drop it in next to me... and if I don’t throw it for him to fetch, he’ll start batting it around and probably claw me in the process. It doesn’t matter if it’s 3 AM and I *was*

I remember LiveJournal less as a place for fandom, and more as a place where people actually wrote their personal thoughts and dreams and stories and... you know, like a *journal*. Only you could let people read it and comment on it.

The whole “community” thing of it (as in, fan groups etc.) was secondary to that, at

Agreed, I want them as two games, not combined in any way.

Porque no los dos?

I really wanted to love Hellgate. It was so promising, the setting was cool, some of the weapons were fantastic... unfortunately there weren’t enough maps, the writing for later quests wasn’t even half-assed, the “let’s change up the gameplay” sections were painfully bad, and when the game got handed

So the people in their lives stop misgendering them, stop making wrong assumptions? Because to not announce it feels like “pretending” to be cisgendered and is a source of guilt and stress?  Because people like to be understood?

For example, if you said to someone “Frank is a feminine male” we can all draw conclusions some of which may be wrong but it mostly takes care of passing on the message. If you say “Frank is gender non-binary” it tells me absolutely nothing and I can’t even infer Frank’s biological sex since Frank may be an assumed

Worth noting: this does require a bit of human interaction to work—your driver is going to have to report when they drop off each package before yours

Or in city driving, people who rush to pass you, then stop in front of you because they have to make a left turn anyway.

I was going to recommend SpaceSniffer if someone else hadn’t first :)

Our dishwasher does not remove visible food particles from things. If we don’t hand-clean before running through the dishwasher, we’ll have to do so afterwards anyway. I’m kind of not sure why we bother with the dishwasher at all, to be honest.

Granted, our dishwasher is whatever the house flipper found for the lowest

It’s been fixed already.

It’s been fixed already.

This was well thought-out and well written.

After one of 2017's many mass shootings, I decided I wasn’t going to play shooters anymore, or anything where guns were front and center. Like you, my enjoyment had fallen off over time anyway; I was already intensely uncomfortable with Borderlands 2. Real-world tragedies

You can hate Junkrat, and I’ll go on hating Symmetra, Hanzo, Pharah, Reaper and Widowmaker.
