She talked with a “mental health official” for 90 minutes, left the room, and came back with a gun. This was after police were called because they wanted to make sure she was ok. They were there to help, and it sounds like they tried until she started waving a gun around.  I seriously doubt they just gunned her down

“Hey ladies, I dont know if you noticed but......I have a bicycle. This helmet is to protect me during high risk maneuvers like pedaling and turning.”

In fairness to Wheaton, if he is quitting for his mental health it makes sense he wouldn’t say anything about Hardwick. Beyond the fact that he does not owe us an explanation - what does he have to gain by saying anything? Say he supports Hardwick. He’ll get hammered. Say he doesn’t. He gets hammered. Hell, he’s not

I’m no Hardwick fan or anything, but I can kind of understand why Wheaton might find it a bit hard to instantly believe the worst of a close friend and publicly denounce and sever ties with them simply because a whole bunch of internet strangers are yelling at him to do so. Which is not to say that I believe Hardwick

A massive and reputable legal firm. The fact that his wife’s family is one of their many clients would be a non-factor in the investigation. Contrary to popular culture, most lawyers aren’t cartoonishly evil and corrupt.

Here’s the fun thing: he doesn’t fucking owe anyone a statement. This notion that the slavering online hordes are entitled to on-demand statements and interaction is...well, it’s certainly a take, and one that many apparently share.

He’s not wrong. Obviously I don’t have the profile of a celebrity like him or any other, but just the constant, never-ending toxicity on Twitter is not healthy for any individual. I finally deleted my account probably about a month ago and I just feel happier. It sucks not being able to follow some of the writers and

Their most famous fan is a fictional character.

I know you’re contractually bound to do one of these for every team, but you should have just skipped this one, because the Jags are extremely cool and in no way suck. They’re cooler than your team. They’re cooler than my team. They’re cooler than all the teams, and I might go to the bar to watch all their games,

They are the Eli Manning of teams

I went on the first date with my wife in 1999 wearing a Mark Brunell jersey. I had a Jaguars Starter jacket.

I’m still bummed that the Jags didn’t make it all the way to the Superbowl. It would have been something else to hear the commentators talk about how Blake Bortles could be a Superbowl-winning contender QB.

I think we’ll do well this year.

Because disagreeing and rightfully hating a political figure doesn’t mean you get to take a child’s property and throw a drink in their face.

Today was the day Kanye West finally became president.

Yeah. One of my pet peeves is when you say “A is like B in terms of Quality X” and another person dishonestly pretends you meant A and B are basically the same.

I mean, that’s not really comparing himself to Smith but comparing a situation where the actor playing the main character thinks the show won't survive without him.

The only good take here

I think you’re confusing disagreement over whether or not Louis CK’s punishment was sufficient (you think it wasn’t whereas I don’t feel particularly angry about his attempt at a comeback) with the overall unfairness of very talented people who never get a break.
