Haha, I’ve seen that argument before too. I’m just the total opposite. The limited scope of a first-person view (having to twitch to the side just to see what should be in your peripheral) and the unnatural way hands have to be held right in front of your face to remind you they’re there ruins the immersion for me.

Hypothetical: Avengers: Infinity War, a highly anticipated movie that fans have known was coming out for many years, with the same creative team that has developed a level of trust with those fans, was announced about a year out to be a full-fledged musical

its more, i cannot see my full avatar, and how they interact with their surroundings. i instead am a pair of hands with a fucking gun for 90% of the game and have no real identity. and also first person melee combat is visually boring.

I’m not sure how you meant to use the word “coddled” in that sentence, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t mean what you think it means.

First person feels like I am a character that is wearing blinders to cut off my peripheral vision and a neck brace to prevent me from looking around unless I turn my whole body.

You know you don’t have to agree with me, but you also don’t have to be a sarcastic asshole

Way to tell someone how they should be feeling about something while also dismissing how they actually are feeling out of hand

They’ve implied you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see your character. Probably mostly in cutscenes. I only ever saw the back of my Commander Shepard’s helmeted head but I still have a good image of how he/she looked.

Agreed, this would be much better if it was like Fallout or GTA V where you had the option to play in either first or third person

I’m so torn on this because I hate first person games. I’m the guy that has to play Fallout in third person because I need to see the world around me and not just what’s in front. But I’ll give CDPR the benefit of the doubt since Wild Hunt is one of my favorite games ever. I just wish Cyberpunk had the Fallout 1st/3rd
