As a carpenter he needs a truck.  Sometimes it helps to be able to read.

Shouldn’t you be wrenching on the stuff in your yard instead of commenting on Torch’s sleep deprivation articles? :-)

I saw your comment on that thread. What’s odd is that surely Lexus is also a deadly dull brand for old / boring people? I think of Lexus buyers as people who were Toyota drivers, wanted something a bit nicer and just didn’t have the imagination to stray further than the Lexus dealer that was probably on the same lot

They’re like honda lawnmowers, the Ferrari of the semi-affluent suburban middle-aged men

The auto industry needs a Kenmore.

Falcon wing doors. We’re not allowed to hunt falcons here.

Oddly, now is the time that I will probably get my hands on a PS4. There’s a super deep backlog of games that are all new to me, most of which I can get for two bees on the used market, and I don’t have to worry about the first several waves of console bugs.
Between that and the impossibly slow trickle of games to

Let’s talk about Soccer/Field Hockey/LAX/Football/Little League Moms. There is a reason they have demanded SUV’s to carry their brood. Minivans have better packaging and are generally better to drive than SUV’s. But a big SUV gives her that king of the road seating position she loves. Toyota had a good idea with this

Yea it’ll be a pass from me. 42 large is too much for that power output. And while not the same technically, I can head over to Kia and get a base Stinger, with the same power output while having a usable backseat and a hatch for probably less than 30k with incentives.

The coffee is better at home when I’m not waiting for polyester pants to complete the financial documents by hand.

Except that with the direct sales model, the manufacturers still have to compete with each other which will keep prices in check.

Actually the Tesla sales model does save money because it cuts out the middle-man known as the dealer.

You can already have a stress-free purchasing agreement that costs you more $, just go in to the dealer and offer to pay sticker.

Throwaway email addresses and Google phone numbers are your friend.

None of what you said makes any sense to me. They sold over 1.5 million of the things, I would expect the vast majority to consumers rather than rental fleets (I’ve rented 100s of times in last 5 years, never even seen an Edge on the lot).

I had a Maxima as a rental last year. Not only was it terrible, but 300HP and a CVT felt fucking weird.

The old one actually looks better IMO

What exactly is “adequate power and range”?

Le Mans used to have an Index Of Efficiency, which in 1959 was won by a 745cc Deutsch et Bonnet.

The Fiero is one of my favorite cars of all time, along with among others, the 2nd Gen Corvair.

So the car is everything a sports car should be EXCEPT inexpensive. That is only a deal breaker if you don’t have the money. I don’t. We really need a return of the Fiero and MR2. Two compact RMR sports cars that cost in and around the same as a mid-sized family sedan, capable with few actual mods of punching well
