No worries, I am currently performing at a keyboard in Montana :)

A friendly reminder, this money isn’t just appearing. We are all going to have to pay this back at some point. Of course they could just raise taxes on the big businesses, but remember they just raise their prices to pay their taxes.

Feels like a win-win here. Heavier vehicle would use more fuel thus generating more gas tax to fix the roads, BUT not if you use electric to power it!!!

Dude, do not touch these electric vehicles they are all shocking!!! <- electrical shock joke.

Yes, as long as I have an opportunity to drive a test vehicle. I would actually prefer a common test vehicle that has been beat on by others. If the test car had 15-20K miles that tells me more about the vehicle than driving one with 100 delivery miles.

Doug says they never combined the SC, manual, and all wheel drive. This one is NA and rear wheel drive.

Rumor has it Toyota sold a handful of manual, all wheel drive, super charged Previas.  If I could find one I would add a small lift kit and drive it till it died.

After driving for a while the size of the speedo wasn’t an issue right?  I ask because I am planning a very similar setup in my Fiero.  Small tablet linked to the computer with a simple small screen that will change if any parameters go out of line.

I would like to say, this website drove more thought for me yesterday than in the prior 10 years. I likely have rose colored glasses, but it feels like the eco promotion and political stuff has become much more overt. I remember people pulling a phrase out of a long article and being upset about politics invading. Now

Begs the question, would the Aztek look better with a wing at the top?  If you move the wing to the top and run the light across the rear you could fix the Aztek.

Below is my stream of thought, in the end I lament to loss of a website that was easy reading and not pushing any agenda.  Simple stories about cars and the people who love them.  Today’s Jalopnik forces us to think more and that is probably a good thing, even if I miss the old content that was easier.

How is my desire for a car website to stick to cars impacting society?

I tend to agree with you, BUT my point is I come to Jalopnik expecting car stuff and I really like the electric car stuff, but recently the site is half political garbage promoting some odd BS future. Give me 3 more articles about the odd shaped tail lightbulb in a rare French 6 wheeled city car and less cars are evil

I have now read this article twice, because I am trying to figure out what the point is? Trucks have drawbacks, but people like them. Are we supposed to feel bad about wanting and using a truck? Does the author want the government to put in deterrents to truck ownership to counter their negative impact?

I am not sure I know who you are calling thin skinned, my response makes an assumption if it is the wrong assumption sorry.

So where exactly is the line? McDonalds is bad for society, should we ban them? It is not my god given right, it is the right that the US government allows. I can’t drive a tank, but the government says it is OK to drive a truck.

FYI you are on Jalopnik version 2020.  This used to be a website dedicated to automotive culture.  It is now political clickbait with cars.

I mean technically you don’t NEED anything other than air, water, food, and shelter to live. Maybe the government should eliminate all other products since they create risk to the society in some way shape or form.

FYI, your expectation of this site is off, you are remembering 5 years ago. Please read everything here with a liberal bent. You should feel bad about all the pedestrians you ran over and the pollution you emitted that is killing the planet. Articles like this are just as bad as the garbage Fox News puts out there, 2

I had a silver one on black RX-8 wheels it was a dam near perfect vehicle.  You could sleep in it and it was actually fun to AutoX.  Plus it made cone set up and pick up amazingly easy.  The low ride height combined with a sliding door is perfect for such work.
