Civic peaked in the middle.  It was ugly then got decent looking and now it is just a hot mess.  

I argued this with a buddy of mine, my point was that the Honda Fit is the only nameplate in history that has become uglier every single generation. He couldn’t come up with another, but thought there had to be another one.  I welcome suggestions.  

I drove one of these and own a Fiero. Mid engined cars are awesome, in general they are very engaging and fun. What makes my Fiero better is that it is consistently terrible. The Alfa is a better car, but for every time it excites you it will disappoint you 3 times. It is fast enough that it is fun, but gets boring…

My frustration is that all these records are marketing garbage. A true production car would not be safe enough to go after one of these records, but a car safe enough would need to be a race car. Nope, but they have to offer it first along with the spoiler and the wider wheel arches.  If you want a production car record you have to use an actual production car not a testing mule.  

I would be fine with this, BUT it has to exist before you go to the ring and take the production car record.  They should also make that plexiglass spoiler an option as well.

But it is a balance those higher performing tires also make more road noise and need to be replaced faster. These are things manufacturers take into account when specing tires. If you sold cars with DOT slicks your customers would be mad the first time it rained and they all slid off the road, but your ring lap times…
