It is probably their grandchildren, I’m sure they started with the final Fiero drawings.

Anybody know if GM did a better job of protecting the coolant lines than last time they built a mid engined car? I mean putting the coolant lines where the normal jack points are sounds like a great idea, ohh wait no it sounds like a terrible idea.
No way, remember Fernando is used to the FIA rulebook there is no way he goes to the freewheeling NASA group he will get 3rd in SCCA and pay to have every engine inspected because he felt cheated.
I heard he is going to race spec Miata with SCCA, and maybe enter a few CHUMP races.
Didn’t Mercedes build a vert on this platform?
Jag and Buick are popular in China because they are in that weird lux but not really space. In China there is more demand to be seen as not showing off wealth so these brands hit that sweet spot better there than in other places.
I am 100% OK with a truck fueled by Night Moves.
Lotus makes most of its money engineering for other manufacturers. Their road and race cars give them data to apply to other engineering projects. Staying small in the car sales game allows them to do work for their “competitors.”
My guess is it is pretty low, but they all apply the same idea to the diesel trucks. I tried to think of a good reason to buy a gasser and couldn’t come up with one. I know the moving company fleets usually go gasser because people renting them can’t be trusted to not put gas in them.
This story made me think of the local drag races. I must have watched 50 runs where some Demon / GT 500 driver smoked a 20 year old car with more power less weight but no computers. Sure you went faster, but my kids could drive your car down the strip dam near as fast as you did. Those cars you beat took actual skill…
I love when you hide the answer to all your questions:
For you and everybody else who complains about the car being too big:
I know I am a weird minority, BUT I fit side to side in a typical plane seat. I would like more leg room but know that isn’t happening. Realistically what I want is a chair at checkin like the bag boxes. If your body doesn’t fit the width of the chair then you have to pay for a second seat. I know people think this is…
I’m down with an electric revival of the MR2 and S2000 :)
As these things grew their case became hard to make against a 4 series convertible. Very similar price and performance plus 2 extra seats. If they kept it small like the original it might feel different, but then you need a smaller platform to build it on so I would agree just kill it and move on.
The Pony cars are all in that range as well. Probably about as likely to be cross shopped as a Miata.
Hennessy Venom? I guess they sold all they made, but didn’t they accept payment for many they didn’t actually deliver? Maybe this is more the company was a flop and not the car itself.
So clearly this is the peak it can’t get faster. I vote the new rules mandate that 1 person does the whole process. If the racing on the track is going to be boring then lets have one person change all 4 tires and work the jack and replace wings all by themselves. I would give it 2 races before the fastest pit…
Changing tires.
The thing that is wrong is they require attention that buttons and knobs do not, when driving attention should be on driving not a screen that controls the whole car.
