God, I hope they don't go to such a cliche. It'd be great if they'd sort of leave politics out of this, as much as they could. When the entirety of Congress is decimated, there really aren't political parties anymore.
I haven't seen the second episode yet, but I would imagine it'd have to be from within, otherwise a lot of people would have seen a missile or something else crash in.
