They are, just not in styling. If you’ve been following Munroe’s tear downs, Tesla has iterated quite a bit on the systems within the car, improving part counts, reducing assembly time, etc. They have significant margin in their builds. If truly challenged by Toyota tomorrow, they could easily drop prices, take a

It’s even more hilarious if you know about the *real* Adam Smith (go and listen to Freakonomics’ 3-episode series on him)

There isn’t one.

First, they have a huge advantage with the supercharger network. Anyone interested in an EV as their sole car (and assuming they intend to use it for long distance drives) doesn’t have many good options other than Tesla. Maybe that will change once other automakers piggyback on the NACs charging standard. I get that

Regardless of what your actual opinion is about dealerships... what is the legal argument that justifies mandating their existence? And why wouldn’t the same “reasoning” apply to, say, Apple Stores? Why can Apple sell direct to the public, but not GM?

But what about the fREe MaRkeT???

Look, there’s only one Jalop alum who qualifies as fancy, and you ain’t her.

I don’t really know why you would make this public instead of just informing the creators and giving them a chance to fix it first. From everything I’ve seen of Roadkill it’s just an informal show about fixing up junker cars and taking them on a road trip. They don’t seem to have a script or big production budget or

Thanks for letting us know...just so everyone else knows why a topic that was submitted so long ago got picked. Readers have really stopped submitting entries and this is how far back I have to go to find a topic worth writing about.

These go for $40K?

I’ll be soo happy when its time to get rid of our Ascent. First year model with all the problems of a first year model. I should have known better/I did know better and did it anyway.

It would make his Outback feel like it was from the Stone Age!
