US 23 in Fenton, MI during winter. During my daily commute, I noticed a lot of people visibly shaken pulled over on the side of the road. Road looked fine but a slightly different shade of grey. I let off the accelerator and gently pressed the brakes to test traction. Speedo immediately dropped to 0 but the scenery

Not only because people throw out the anchor when they are speeding, but too many who aren’t speeding slam on the brakes.

This is how people get their eyes opened to cars they previously had never considered. They may not buy on the spot, but possibly weeks/months later. The total gift cards given are probably cheaper than running a 30 second ad during any major televised sporting event.

Their parking space has a time distortion bubble in it.

David Tracy would have received the death penalty if he lived there.

I’m too drunk to process this comment. Hopefully I remember to reread this when I’m sober Monday morning... Because this looks like a comment I could learn stuff from.

I predict at least one car will come back down (in pieces) without making it to the top.

Mostly just keeps up with technology rather than a throwback design when automatics were shifted with cables. Gear selection can be done with wires and computers so why take up more space than needed?  Does make it a PITA to manually shift into neutral if the vehicle loses power.

Funny, Ram is my preference because of that rotary shifter. That is, if I needed to buy a truck.

Back when I rode (12 miles round trip), getting to work as fresh as I stepped out of the shower was easy.  Just know your body and when is starts sweating.  Put in effort just below that point.

Are you sure this video isn’t of Robb sitting in his stationary race car with a white sheet over it while he makes engine noises and pretends to drive?  Is this what drivers do to kill time before the sheet gets removed and the car/driver are unveiled?

Still federally mandated.  We will all forced to endure a warning light that never goes out.

Spicy beef jerky (ghost pepper, habanero, etc) with 5 hour energy drinks.  That combination will upset the toughest stomach and prevent drowsiness.  The only downside is when it starts explosively exiting.  Time gained by not sleeping is lost bathroom hunting.

I thought they ran hot because NASCAR was losing fans.

Buy a BMW. Use of turn signals is apparently optional in those.

I’m currently driving a loaner with an old fashioned key while my car with RFID key is getting warranty work done. Fuck this article! Trying to figure out if I can sue for the carpel tunnel I’m developing...

I bought a $500 beater to teach my wife how to drive a stick. She drives a stick better than me now (giggity giggity!).

Not true at very low speeds.  By low speeds I mean walking or slower.

Riding a bicycle will help a lot with understanding low speed handling. If you are somewhat fit, you can get going fast enough to experience counter-steer. I had 30,000+ bicycle miles before getting something with a motor. MSF course was a breeze since it is almost all low speed.

Exactly. They likely have a modest philanthropic budget and cut a check for what they could. If this went to the board to review, it would take weeks and get rejected.
