Did he turn out to be a Nigerian prince later?
A lemon ZX2? That’s very odd. I worked for Ford from 2001 to 2006 and would frequently look up specific VINs in the warranty system. For the most part, ZX2s were bullet proof. The first generation Focus on the other hand... I remember looking one up that had the fuel pump replaced twice within the warranty period,…
Had a good experience at a Kia dealer. Took an Optima out for a test drive with no hassle or salesman ride along. Ended up buying a used Optima elsewhere. Returned to that dealership for parts, warranty work and services outside my skill level.
I had a similar Subaru experience last year. Totally mind blowing. Tried to buy a VW first, but the VW dealership was only interested in giving test drives. When the conversation turned to price negotiation (via email) a few days later, the suddenly lost interest.
A bike rider in halfway decent shape can go faster and farther then most ebikes. It also isn’t hard to “throttle back” exertion to keep out of the sweat zone. Source: 25,000+ commuting miles on a bicycle over 13 years.
Thanks for the write-up on this! That video has been showing up in my YouTube suggestions for days. I was interested, but not enough to spend 18 minutes watching it. Everything I was curious about, you answered and only took me 5 minutes (including this comment). Now back to hour long pet shenanigan compilations...
Is someone about to lose a bet about the “future classic” value of this car? It’s like gambling on 90's era baseball cards becoming worth something eventually.
I’ve noticed Lyft and Uber drivers tend to be glued to their phones more than anyone.
Had what seemed like more close calls while riding my bicycle or motorcycle the past few years because people couldn’t put the phone down. Then one of them finally hit me. Sticking with a car now. Similar odds of getting hit, but at least I have a cage around me.
So Meh I could barely bring myself to read the article.
Once upon a time I spilled milk in my car. Stank horribly. Had to leave the windows down all winter so I could tolerate the stench. Had to shovel snow out on a few occasions. Even parked in downtown Detroit (before white people moved back in), no one would steal it. Eventually rented a carpet cleaner and mixed some…
Want to blow the minds of cage drivers while on a bike? Obey the traffic laws! Cyclists in my area have drivers trained to be on constant alert for asshole riding. They have no clue what to do when someone follows the rules!
Have you tried Ford rear end friction modifier? It’s like gear lube times 10!
23 hours driving across half the country only stopping for gas, food and bathroom breaks. Stayed awake and surprisingly alert by eating jalapeno habanero beef jerky and washing it down with 5-hour energy. No issues with fatigue the whole trip. However, my stomach was so upset I couldn’t sleep if I wanted to. I feel…
I ended up with a new Subaru because of this. A 12,000 mile/year used Subaru was cheaper new than used. The only ones that took a reasonable depreciation were driven well more than 30,000/year. Sorry, if it’s mid-2017, I’m not buying your 100,000 mile 2015 base model Outback for $18k.
For the record, it wasn’t sitting abandoned. It was laying low waiting for the statute of limitations on “Vehicular Assault of Car Show Crowd” to expire.
Backed up into a pole in a parking lot. Only scuffed the paint (on an almost new car) but still embarrassing.
I’ve been to their Dallas restaurant. It was surprisingly good! Think of it as a top notch sports bar but with Gas Monkey merchandise everywhere. I know a few other people that were surprised by how good it was also.
I’m sure you will get many wildly different takes on why, so here is mine;
