I sold my 2001 Jetta sedan 1.8t for $2800. This was 7 years ago with similar mileage in better conditionCrack Pipe. TDi fuel saving will never pay off.

Took the land-yacht down to the river-yacht”. When you really want to burn some gasoline.

Mine was an AWD motor. Coil-packs lasted more than 160k. I don’t remember what chip manufacture I used. Dynoed 190+hp and 205tq to the wheels. H&R cup kit rode stiff and got annoying on our awful roads.  The car survived some serious abuse.

I forgot about the rear taillights. I had a bag of spare bulbs as the passenger rear bulb would last for ~3 months.

Gas prices are up just as the weather is getting nice enough to use my twin 5.7L V8 boat. Visiting the gas dock is going to be painful.

Are you counting the spare wheel/tire? Most cars don’t even come with one anymore.

My Silverado(winter beater) does this every day. My parking spot at work has red paint chips and rust laying on the ground.

Agreed. My 1999 Silverado no longer has rocker panels. The rear fender are mostly rusted through. The bed floor is missing much of it paint from use but has zero rust top or bottom.

Yes, I miss the wood bed floor from my 1974 Cheyenne. Stuff doesn’t slide around as much. Easy and cheap to replace. The wood in mine was in decent shape at 28 years old when I sold it.

Have they improved the rust proofing? Sprinters rust out quicker than just about anything here in MN.

Does the exhaust still pass under the rear beam axle? If so, why? This always leave the pipe looking so vulnerable?

Garage(home) owner here: $40 for a day for someone making a mess of my tools and shop. No thanks. I suppose they are going to want in the house to use the bathroom too. How could that be sum be worth the hassle.

Nope nope nope just nope.

“Hopefully the owner isn’t too upset about the extra scratches on the roof from the shoving.”

Been done, drivers door is also custom.

My father left his 3 year old son(me) and is 5 year old daughter as collateral when test drove his 65 Impala SS. Glad he came back, as was the 70 year old woman owner.

The IS250 model debuted when I was 17. At the time I washed cars at the local Lexus dealership. On a summer day I remember the IS’s interior being the hottest temp of any car I have ever experienced. It was painful to have to move one around the lot.  Not sure why these heated up so much more than an LS or RX.

I have accidentally put my GM th425 3 speed into reverse while doing ~50 mph. No damage happened. The engine simply shut off. I slipping into natural(the gear I intended) and restarted the engine.

No inspections there/here in MN.

Exactly, that part would cost many times more to make out of sheet metal than plastic.
