Of course especially in an emergency situation. I just wonder why they would receive multiple calls from different terminals when at this point we know not a single shot was fired.
I read somewhere else that people who were actually listening in on the NYPD radios heard they received calls of shots fired from 3 different terminals with the people not answering the phones when the 911 operator attempted to call back. Not sure how true that is but seems extremely odd.

It depends though, if I'm keeping a couple of car lengths in front of me for safety reasons I hate when someone turns that into -1 car length because they want to get in between me and the person in front of me and sometimes even slow down.
