The digital dash is an option not standard so you can option yours without it.
The fact that they didn’t announce one model launching with the existing twin turbo V6 found in the C450, and a few other cars, makes me think maybe they are going to try to intro a new Inline 6 engine later this year.
This is how I imagine old people think carplay works.
Someone on a different forum made that observation before so I won’t take the credit but it’s definitely true. The discussion came up during an S vs. 7 series debate and why the 7 series is more sporty both in look and feel interior wise and someone said because BMW took what made the 3 great and expanded on it while…
I think Merc has their formula down at this point. Make the S class the flagship and make smaller, less expensive versions of that. Other car companies make the small, less expensive version of a car and build up from that point to make their most expensive car.
I didn’t know it existed either this is a nice way to do it.
But is that good or bad? To have one of your least expensive cars look just as great as your flagship? I think it hits the right note.
Boom

You’re right about there not being substantial changes, but there were changes none the less. New transmission (7 speed) and a change in the layout of the V6. Other than that just cosmetic changes inside and out. I mean go take a look at the last couple of SLKs (172) and you’ll see even the interior has not changed…
R171 was 2004-2010. This is still the R172 is 2011-Present. New model won’t be out til 2018 with a new interior too, that’s why the current interior is just a minor refresh but it still has the keypad and older design elements.
Mid cycle refresh, not a total redesign.
And the GLC has more room than the GLK both for occupants and cargo.
That’s so weird. Maybe the E is different than my C. Did you guys have an powered autoclose trunk?
On my Mercedes there’s a keyhole next to the button. The purpose of that key as explained by the salesperson is that you can manually lock your trunk and glove compartment and give the valet (it’s called a valet key) the fob to start the car. The car won’t unlock the trunk with the trunk open button inside the car nor…
Wait doesn’t the metal key allow you manual access to the trunk?
The money makes no difference when it takes 50 permits to put a shovel in the ground. How about a FAST way to get straight to work.
At this point in time I think if anyone flew into the U.S. for even 10 seconds they’d be vaporized.
I wish we could track down the guy on the production team who created the image to be displayed on that laptop. I wonder what his thoughts are. Like is he a car head? Was this to troll everyone?
