Anyone know how to default ALL your friends to show All Updates, and not Most Updates, short of doing it for every one of them by hand?

I think I heard something about a lawsuit, and them not being allowed to deploy it yet.

Missed that. Guess it helps if you read the whole thing before heading off to Google, huh? :)

I took a quick look around my area, and all I could find was an old post from Kevin Purdy about co-working here in Buffalo, NY. I wonder what it costs per month? Probably too much for my budget.

I've been doing this since I was a teenager. Surprised it's a tip, actually. But then again, I've told people about it, too, so I guess it is.

That it's OK to ask for help when you're just starting out. I was a teacher, and had no classroom control. I had a math department filled with veterans who could have helped, if only I had let them know I needed it. Now I'm a computer consultant because I never got the control I needed and ended up not being a good

Canon's unofficial stance on the firmware you're talking about is that it doesn't void the warranty. You're not installing any firmware, but just running it from the memory card. You're actually not changing the camera at all. Your mileage may vary, and their stance may have changed since I last read about this.

I'm so original in how I name my wi-fi. I have two hot-spots on my DD-WRT router. One for unfiltered traffic, and one for the kids that goes through Dansguardian to filter their traffic. The names are "SEIDEN" and "SEIDEN-FILTERED." Yawn.

What ad? You need Ad Block Plus.

I think that there is also an "intent" clause of that law. If your intent is to just deliver their mail to them, the post office would be OK with that. (It would save them money over you returning it to them and them having to re-deliver.) If you are trying to avoid mailing stuff, they probably won't like that much.

Varies by router, but it generally involves pointing your browser to something like [192.168.1.1,] and entering the password. If you aren't sure of the address or the username/password, you can google for it by asking "default address netgear GX2" assuming your router is a Netgear GX2.

If it were a non-smoking building, they'd be able to do that. It's not a non-smoking building, and the reason people are moving out is not because he smokes, but because they fail to warn potential tenants that he smokes. It's also subsidized housing, so the market is a little smaller for these folks. For now, he

My FiL smokes, and his neighbors complained. He got an air purifier, a draft stopper, and that was enough for them. The neighbors moved, and he stopped using the stuff. New neighbors came in. They complained. He went back to using it, and it worked again. They moved, and now new neighbors complained again. It's

Blackboardroid is on the right track, but it only gives me one "page". I'm looking for a notebook type thing, too. I just tried Evernote (again), and I can see notes that I did on the web using their drawing tools, but I can't create or edit notes on my Tablet that are handwritten. ARG!

I have Time Warner cable, and they have an iPad app that lets you watch select TV stations, and control the DVR. I can change the channel on my TV from the iPad, which I have to admit, is VERY cool. Being able to do it for ALL the controls on the remote would be better, but just being able to change the channels on

Does anyone know of a note taking app for Android that allows you to take notes as if your table were a piece of paper? All the note taking apps that I have tried that have any kind of handwriting stuff in them allow you to write on the screen, then shrink it down. I just want to write on my screen like it's a

Probably the same way they end up sending bills for hundreds of dollars to people who overuse texting, when texting doesn't cost them anything.

And neither do I!

I think it would work at work, a place where you kind of have to do favors sometimes. Also, if you pick a favor that would benefit the other person, or is of particular interest to the other person, they might be more likely to help you out.

This was 20+ years ago, so I have a hard time remembering, but the bike is still hanging in my garage, and what killed it was the derailleur (sp?), so I'm gonna go with "No" on the damaged fork question. :)
