Books. I'm beginning to think about going digital (e-Reader) for technical books, but for "read for pleasure," I just love the feel of a book in my hands while I'm reading it. I love turning the pages. I love watching the bookmark move across the spine.

@battra92: Must have been. I don't know that I ever bought a needle for a record player, as I didn't care about the sound quality back then. But I do remember them costing a ton. I think I had a friend who worked in a major (now extinct) electronics chain around NYC (Crazy Eddie's, I think). He's the one who told me

@battra92: Not really. Record player needles used to sell for less than $5 wholesale, and over $70 retail, from what I heard.

LOVE LOVE LOVE This! I've been using it for a long time, and it makes FB must more tolerable. Quick updates when FB tries to out-smart it. Five star recommendation on this!

I'm surprised the editors didn't correct the "way it down", or at least put a [sic] in there. (Should have, of course, been "weigh it down".

Can you explain the sms-to-email channel part? I didn't see anything on their website.

Shouldn't the word Improved be in quotes, as in:

a long time ago I bought a small micro SD to USB card reader, and then picked up 6 2GB micro SD cards on the cheap. Each micro SD came with an SD adapter, which I put a label on and pencil in what's on that SD.

If I'm up to date at home with my virus/malware detection software, shouldn't my machine catch the virus, and quarantine it when I plug it in? Isn't that the point of having the software and updating it constantly?

@p|-|15|-| : deanb's my hero: From what I understand, you have to have both accounts under the same email. Since the two emails you listed aren't the same, they wouldn't be conflicting accounts, as google calls them. Who knows? There may be (better be?) a way to join them in the future.

I can confirm, if others already haven't, that this has not taken place universally, yet. I have my domain at Google Apps, and have Google Voice through my domain email as well. I have conflicting accounts as described in the link. I can still log into my voice account using my email without the +personal stuff, and

@RickS: Hint, Hint.

Give it to a friend to use as an iPod Touch

@marko1: I'm sure it's not your site. You've just been Lifehacked, that's all.

I heard a story once about jury duty. Maybe it's a joke. I don't know. The lawyer is finished interviewing the potential jurors and asks them if there are any questions that the potential jurors think should have been asked. One lady raises her hand and says "You didn't ask if anyone can read lips." The lawyer asks

@RickS: I don't use text talk, so I can't even get it right! :)

Text is OK in the workplace if things are kept professional when needed. Don't ask your boss "Do u need me 2 be thr?" Do ask your boss "Do you need me to be there?"

@btrotta: I was taught the exact opposite of what you are saying, and was about to post that they make good rescue knots, and are used by firemen all the time.

@Tsylord: You can't save with that thing (yet). At $35 from Amazon, it's dead cheap, but useless for you unless it can save.
