@tmlfan81: BTW, if another browser means another set of standards we have to worry about (this only works in IE, that only in FF, the other only in Chrome...), then I REALLY don't want another browser.

@tmlfan81: No. No. No. No.
@Hirsch Singhal: Hard drive size in Octal!
There are 10 types of people in this world:
@astrosmash: And what if I don't want to pay the money for everyone in my family to have individual data plans? It would be $70 extra a month for me right now, and $85 when my youngest gets old enough for a cell. Not worth it. We'll stick with our $15 family unlimited messaging plan, thank you very much.
@whiteflea: I have a smart phone that has NEVER had a data plan associated with it. I just don't need the data part, but I like the full keyboard, and the ability to sync my calendar with Lotus Notes.
I can't SMS to an email address on my phone (I've heard it can be done), but I can MMS to an email address. So, in a pinch, I can just fill out the text part, and use MMS to send an email.
@jdoree: Nope. I'm right there with you.
@JCMasterpiece: That's a very good point. Google should offer some type of code that a website owner could add to their website that would stop this from working with their website.
At work we have an acronym TPAE, so when I read the title for this, I read it as "Use T-A-P-E...", and was thinking, "What is tee-ay-pee-ee?" LOL!
@Sgt. Duffy: Virtualbox is a virtual machine, not a virtual desktop. In other words, it's like having a second computer, running inside your computer. Virtual desktops is like having more than one monitor hooked up to your computer, but only being able to see one of them at a time.
Didn't the old license agreement limit the install of the OS to Apple hardware only? Is there a similar clause in the new OS's license agreement?
I've used, and love, multiple desktops. But I've never been able to get used to using multiple VIRTUAL desktops. If it's not real, and I can't see the app the whole time, it doesn't help me much.
@Reil: Ignore this: Read that is "can make u look like a v" and was like "Huh?" :)
@Avian00: If this standard has been accepted by the computer industry, then why is my RAM size still reported in Gigabytes and not Gibibtyes?
@cvdwl: in computers, kilo is 1024, not 1000. Computers work in base 2. A megabyte of RAM is not 1,000,000 byes, it's 1,048,576 bytes.
measuring hard drive space in base 10 is lying to make more money. Could you imagine if they started selling memory chips measured in base 10? Computers run on base 2. They measure in base 2. A byte is 8 bits. A kilobyte is 1024 bytes. A megabyte is 1024 kilobytes, and so on. It's bad enough that the hard drive…
Had mine set to the hackable WAP. Not anymore. Thanks LH.
I tried this with an old DVD player for a ThinkPad T20. The lens was much smaller than the one pictured, and it did not work.
I can't believe it. Not only are you giving us a life hack that suggests we break copyright laws, but you admit that you're doing it, and pass it off as a minor thing. It's ILLEGAL, plain and simple. Regardless of what your stance on this is, the fact remains, it is ILLEGAL. For LH to openly suggest this is an…
