Layoffs suck. I've been through a few. I remember what is known in my house as "The Summer of Ramen." That was over 8 years ago, and to this day I still can't eat the stuff.

Given it's been over an hour since this was posted, I'm surprised no one has said something about installing Linux over a pre-installed Windows. I'm not saying it, as I am a Windows person. I've tried Linux, and it is nice, but I can't find stuff to do what I need to do (Sync my Windows Mobile phone with Corporate

Back in 10/07, I passed out in a hotel room in Pittsburgh. I saw a few doctors, and they all told me that caffeine was a no-no, and that soda was really bad for me. I had to give them both up. I drink water now, almost exclusivley. I do occationally have a soda, and sometimes it's not even caffeine free, but most of

Foundation—Issac Asimov. Turned me on to the whole genre of Science Fiction.

I've used it. It's decent. Bottom line, however, is that it's a marketing tool for Lego. You build it virtually, hit a button, and then order the exact set of blocks you need to build it in real life. That's the whole point of it as far as Lego is concerned.

Are there any sites out there besides Mint and Yodlee? I have two bank accounts, and neither of them are supported by either site.

My mouse so wants this. She's such an attention whore.

@urban bohemian: Was the snarkfest only if the email was something stupid and cutsie? My father's email is something like jsmith2001@yahoo.com (that is not his real email, of course). He uses it only for personal use, but it's not cutsie or stupid. My gmail address used to be firstnamelastname@gmail.com. That's not

I read that as "Google Translates Adds to 10 Languages", and came here to give you a harsh tounge lashing about using Add instead of Ad for advertisements. Then, I re-read the title, and boy, without that "to" thrown in there, it makes MUCH more sense!

Too much for me to read to see if anyone else suggested this, which means this might get lost, too, but here it goes.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and probably get flamed for it. If they intend to make the web free for iPhone users, and you're not one, but trick the system into thinking you are so you can get free web service, aren't you stealing?

Think of martial arts. Everyone who walks in for the first time is a "white belt". Only with consistant practice can you advance. And the more you advance, the more it takes to advance. (A white belt may become a yellow belt in three months, but a brown belt may take two years to graduate to a black belt.)

Dyslexia is a wonderful thing sometimes. I read your intro as "if you'd told my Star Trek-loving twelve year old son"...

My water bottles. I have two that I use at home over and over again. They get refilled and put in the fridge. One is always out while the other is always cooling. (To all those out there who are going to ask, they are both #1 recycleables, so they are safe.)

I'm a freak. I have two keys. My house key and my car key. I don't have any key for work (I'm a computer consultant, so I don't have an "office"). I can't trim down my car key (it has one of those weird has to be there things in it).

I'm the mrmath that asked where you could get the parts for this. Anyone here know where you can get the parts he talks about?

My doc told me to go caffiene free. Took a while, but made it. I only take in caffiene on occation now. Really haven't noticed a diff...zzzz...huh? What? Sorry. Dozed off there.

@lesbiansayswhat: I have IBS, but only when I way over 245 or 250. Basically, wehn I'm fat, it acts up. When I lose weight, it goes away. Same thing with my acid reflux. I was on Priolsec before it was OTC, but when I finally lost weight, I lost the acid reflux, too.

Didn't list my FON hotspot.

Active desktop will slow down your machine. With newer ones, it's not as big a concern, but let's be honest. Not everone has a dual core processor running at 3GHz, right?
