No, I’m familiar with moe. The height of my interest in anime was ten to fifteen years ago, when you really couldn’t get away from the moe tone or aesthetic—I didn’t know it was still this prevalent. I also didn’t realize it was easier to draw!

The new version just looks like a weird infantilization of the original. Like, it’s taken on literally infantile proportions—large, round head, low cheeks and chin, bigger eyes. They look like babies now.

Agree with your observation. Personally, I prefer the older designs

Sorry, but it’s really hard to tell which images are supposed to be the new ones. I’m guessing that the version where the characters look younger are the do-overs.

Personally, I think the older ones look better.

I mean... did he just age his characters backwards over time? The newer versions just look like younger versions of the old style.

I didn’t say anything about Sony butchering studios, i was talking about which studios could be bought next.

But for Sony it makes MUCH more sense to be that way than Microsoft.  Sony doesn’t have a desktop “space”.  Sony wants games to drive people to buy their console over the others.  Microsoft while they want you to buy an Xbox, they also have a windows footprint and can sell their as well and the money stays “in house”

lol “IT’S BECAUSE COMMUNISM DURR”

Or...you know...just be rational and dont buy the game.

Every Chinese person I know strongly hates Japan and Taiwan.

You got a weird definition of 1:1 copies I’d say maybe that Deep Purple one is the closest. The one you cited doesn’t really sound close.

...What about Huawei or Xiaomi?

This is lazy crap.

Not gonna lie, that surprised me as well. Really interesting how far Zelda has come even though China hasn’t really been ‘officially’ on the gaming map for as long.

I’m at least shocked that Chinese players defended Japanese developers over their own.

Unsurprisingly the top comment and general theme here is “censorship: bad,” rather than “empathy: good.”

They're making changes out of respect, not censorship. Not every edit is a "censor." People use the word too much.

Keep it up! Maybe Nintendo will send you a free game!

This thread is certainly bringing out the “I can’t believe someone typed that”

Nintendo, I love you, truly, but that response is not acceptable. I did exactly that. And then I called your support number. And I was told my Joy-Con was out of warranty and I paid you $40 to repair it. You were nice enough to waive the $10 shipping charge, at least. And then I was without a Joy-Con for a week. And
