Wont happen, they’ve closed that chapter of their studio life. There are in depth videos and interviews on why they are glad to move on from that time.

I agree about the art. It looks to have lost quite a bit in that the character designs do not have that Akira Toriyama charm.

Kitbashing and fanfiction publications happen all the time in Japan, they even have huge fairs and get togethers to share and sell each others works, not sure why this guy got caught, possibly trying to sell his items online through proper channels and got done in I'd guess 

No, doubt that, as this could easily fall into the “doujinshi” category or fanfiction. He most likely tried to pass them off as legit, or worded it incorrectly as to create a problem.

For 20K I’d rather commission a high end custom designer to clone a pair of the shoes with the auto lacing feature and the latest materials. Chuck it in a glass display cabinet or be able to wear them out to specific events. 20k for a single disintegrating shoe is a little too much.
