3rd Gear:  The IRA Act was smart enough to spread the gains around mostly the south and midwest, Republican strongholds.  If there’s a change in party management, anything they do is going to result in lost jobs in those states.  That won’t look good.  In the mean time, Republican’s actions against EVs and renewable

Hyundai/Kia just can’t catch a break. Looks like their incredibly rapid expansion is finally catching up with them

Many hotels already offer L2 charging, and more are adopting it every day.

3rd Gear: GOP Lawmakers Still Think The Ford-CATL Partnership Stinks”

HOWEVER.. you do mention something that concerns me. How to overnight charge?

Yep, with all that charging down time there is only one thing to do...

I feel like Kia / Hyundai have an army of bots saying how awesome & trouble free the cars are. I’m sure lots of people have had ok experiences with them but with all the engine failures, fires etc I’m hugely skeptical.

They don’t deserve a break. They deserve bankruptcy....

Counter take: Kia/Hyundai have always made corner cutting garbage. They just always got a pass by enthusiasts because they products looked good on paper.

That 100% covers the morons.

Most pickup truck drivers today are simps who need a lot of attention

Florida has lax building codes and inspection regulations, especially the latter. Remember the apartment structure that simply collapsed after a mere 20 years after being built?  That would all get in the way of business.

Regardless. Any designer would have engineered the structure for worse case scenario; maximum vehicle occupancy at the highest weight allowed in the parking structure.

Remember the condo collapse on Collins Ave. in the Miami area along the ocean? Week building codes for a long time, no one making sure that buildings are done as per spec and building code, self inspection with nothing real ever getting repaired, excessive loads for how things are built, salt based corrosion helped on

Capitalism is a failed state.

But it was built in 2007... However, it is strange that is the second Batson-Cook garage to have collapsed in 2 years. “Batson-Cook is adamant that sole responsibility rests on the property owner.” - Sure, but you don’t seem to have a good record building them correctly.

How did it happen?

Deregulation is good.  🙄
