I see that our “don’t make Putin angry because he’ll destroy the world” Kremlin folks have arrived to the thread.

heres to hoping he gets a submarine trip to Guantanamo Bay

Elon Musk is a scumbag, but this is such a waste of time. There was no coverage over Crimea because of the sanctions against Russia. He didn’t shut down coverage, it was never turned on.

Musk is a US citizen. If he turns on Starlink over Crimea then it’s an act of war against Russia, brings US formally into the war, and makes Starlink satellites open to attack.

The US hasn’t declared war against Russia. So no.

You all missed the point of the question.

Vehicles for those with no soul, dragging themselves through the drudgery of life.

$5K gets more than a MacBook Pro and iPad Pro.  They’re seriously smoking crack at those prices, and my direct experience of poor reliability

Because of Covid, two Spectre product line convertible laptops were purchased for a niece and a nephew, one in fall of 2020 and the other for her in the spring of 2021.  Both suffered major failures right out of warranty.  It’s a bitch finding an independent shop that’ll work on them, no one can get screens. HP has it

Five thousand bucks for a laptop...you have to be effing kidding me.

5 grand buys you a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro. WTF? While this is portable, it lacks a dedicated GPU to make this a portable workstation or iPad Pro killer.

Do any of us really need a tool (too much credit, as a tool is useful) in our lives like Twitter?

Can’t wait to see how Musk will blame the jews when NY Times pulls it’s advertising.

It’s absolutely bizarre to me that people think a certain one of those (Mastodon) is confusing, and for them it’s 100% about the usernames. I’m like, “Don’t you mofos have e-mail addresses?!? It’s the same damn thing!”

Pull out. No advertising with the bastards. Completely. Just do it.

1. Antagonize your advertisers

If you’re fuck dumb enough to still be using Twitter let alone advertising on it, that’s on you.

People need to stop using Twitter, there needs to be an alternative. It’s becoming nothing but propaganda and misinformation. (Not that I’m a fan of the NY Times, but my point stands)

For the sake of art and movie history, they should have included it, with a simple disclaimer of ‘different times, and we don’t approve of this now’ message.

I will never abandon physical media, its still superior to streaming, especially with companies pulling stuff off streaming
