Planned obsolescence is a thing in cars, too. They only tried hard for the early models to dispel the rumors. Many EV cars are sold at a loss. They have to cheapen the product to survive.
Is that transferable? The average bee car is owned much less than 8 years. Teslas excluded, it is unlikely that any EV will retain more value than that replacement will cost.
