Because this is a place where people discuss vehicles and their usage.

It’s not a knock on drag. If both events cost the same, I’d go to the rally is all I’m implying.

I’d do it at least once, retinas be damned!

Now playing

The excitement isn’t derived solely by the speed number. At that 323mph you have chutes, brakes, overrun, and finally gravel to hopefully bring you back to a safe speed. Rally excites me because these two folks have little-to-no knowledge about what they’re about the road that they’re about to haul ass down (on which

323 mph doesn’t excite me the way 90mph down a single lane Welsh C road does, but it comes awful damn close. Much respect, I would love to catch one of these events live some day. Can you imagine riding in one of those? How can it not hurt to accelerate that fast?

Now in New York I can’t go four blocks without spotting a Tesla Model S or some sort of electricity assisted vehicle. The times, they are a-changing.

If they live 301 miles away and it’s nice outside you’ll never have to worry about them just dropping in (If you live somewhere hot/cold, you can get away with MUCH less)!

[Box1813 checking in with yet another post about the odious range of the Tesla. Join me on my continuing crusade to stop Jalopnik from gargling

NP - Grave, I think you pitched us a slowball on this one. There isn’t an honest Jalop that’s going to deny a solid wagon modded with the single most aftermarket supported engine, transmission, and chassis combination in the US market.

Torch...

Not to take anything away from the Marines and Navy, but their planes always look they’re 5 years past time to get a new paintjob.
