Oh to be young and be able to stay awake past 9p. I remember those days. . . :-)

For me, it wasn’t a purchase so much as an experience.

While on Buford Hwy, hit up Canton House for some great dim sum! :-)

If someone refers to being in the “outskirts of Atlanta,” they’ll need be more specific as “urban sprawl” has spread about 90 miles around Atlanta proper, as far north as Toccoa to as far south as Newnan.

Anyone remember the “True Love Waits” rallies that were big in the 1990's? Yea, good times.

“We’re in Vegas about 10 years ago.”

“Pastor” Gray isn’t a pastor. He’s a self-help speaker who butchers scripture, always takes it out of context, and twists its words to fit a his pre-existing opinion. And because most people are biblically illiterate, they don’t know any better and lap this stuff up.

I know new shows sometimes have a slow burn building up the mythos, characters, motivations, etc., but wow, was this premiere episode slow. I had just finished watching Lucifer, then flipped to Alienist, and literally fell asleep. I always give new shows about 3 or 4 episodes to hook me, if not, then I’m out.

These are the actions of men who thought they knew better than the God they claimed to serve.

Taraji P. Henson was the best part of Person of Interest and it was never the same show when she left.

Agreed. I Corinthians 5:1-13 is a much better prescription for this type of issue and what should’ve been done when Andy Savage was 22 years old. Yes, the passage talks about incest specifically, but really applies to any sexual immorality happening within the church, whether they be affairs or worse.

Are you looking for writers that have journalism degrees or experience in journalism? Would you be willing to hear a pitch from someone looking to get into writing the same way some chefs learn the business; by getting out there and doing it?

I think you’re missing the /s on the end of your comment because I swear that can’t be a real thought. . .

Congrats on a great year. Love your stuff. Hate to say I’ve never come across it before seeing it on The Root. Most of my limited blog reading comes from Kinja sites, so I’m glad they scooped you up. :-)

I was going to binge watch some Netflix this long New Year’s holiday weekend, but looks like I’m going to curl up by the fireplace and read this comedy. I only read the first editor’s note so far and already I’m excited to read the rest. A real page turner! :-)

For me, it’s a lot of what the article stated (beside the rising ticket costs). The “effort” required to go see a movie: everyone agreeing on what to see, fight traffic to drive to the theater, driving around for parking, waiting in line for over priced concessions, giving the side-eye over the shoulder to the parent

Not bad. Have you ever heard of these things called “gifs?” They’re wonderfully witty. :-)

Isn’t that how it goes now? If you don’t agree. . .Hitler.

Funny thing. . .context. :-)
