I find that even without the tracking footsteps, the Nearby feature always has been pretty useful in that when you open the box, the top-leftmost Pokemon is pretty close to you. I’ve found quite a few that way. Pokemon move up and down the list depending on the distance they are from you. And I’m glad for the “nest”…

Well, I have had limited success, caught three Pokemon, and obtained things at a PokeStop (which happens to be my workplace). I was unhappy with the server issues but at least I’m having some fun with it!

I saw the original Japanese version, which had the truly unsettling extended opening. Kinda moved it out of kid’s territory. English dub was sub-par IMO.
