When Dylann Roof shot up that church in Charleston, SC, his actions caused a cascading effect that led to the removal of Confederate war monuments, flags, and streets and buildings being renamed.

Doesn’t faith oppose skepticism, empiricism and science? I’ve read about scientists who say they’re trying to incorporate the two systems but that balance only lasts as long as science doesn’t bump up against some faith based belief -see Galileo. I would respectfully argue that this is not possible. There is no “intellectually wholesome belief system” that includes the story of Mohammad.
