I’ll probably still check in most days, but not my multiple times a day to see if Torch has released an article about taillights or either of these two have fixed something in an unorthodox way.

It’s not just David and Jason leaving man. It’s the broken comments system. It’s the constant listicles. It’s the lack of proof reading, the lazy reprints of articles, the ill advised hot takes like the “It’s okay people are robbing trains because they lost their jobs” article from a few weeks ago.

David and Tracy ARE Jalopnik.  Everything else is just filler until they post something.

Agreed, but if you’ve made the mistake multiple times in different articles, you’d think you’d go out of your way to check for it, no?

Same, Tracy and Torch were the only thing keeping this site in my daily rotation, so Jalop will be getting subbed out for whatever their next project is

I am not criticizing the flight attendant, in a hairy situation you do what you have to do.

This sounds more like a psychotic episode or a bad drug reaction than a standard “unruly passenger” situation. The paranoia, the detachment from reality descending into violent, panicked behavior... seems very different from the usual idiots getting upset about masks or whatever.

Almost sounds like he had a mental health breakdown.

We need to fund mental health services better.

I was always under the impression that you simply couldn’t open those passenger / emergency exist doors while the plane was in flight. Maybe the plastic cover of the door moved a couple inches, but I doubt the door itself did.
