3rd Gear: Yoke controls are definitely the dumbest new trend for road cars. Yoke style, non-round controls work great in planes and race cars where large adjustments are rare, but it’s an utterly flawed system for actual day-to-day driving.

But isn’t the whole point of ride sharing apps to be more profitable/convenient for the drivers than the old cabbie systems?
Sure, your Uber driver is still likely to sexually assault you, but now it can happen in a luxury future car.
So on top of paying for electricity and Uber taking their cut, these drivers will be expected to pay rental fees as well. How can this possibly be worthwhile for the drivers?
4th Gear: How is Hertz assigning cars for use as Ubers? Are they going to sell/rent them to Uber drivers? Are they going to pay people to drive for Uber? How does this mesh with Uber’s insistence that they don’t have employees?
