While that statement is true most of the time one of the problems is that the Pokémon Company *don’t* have to spend money to make money, the franchise is so big and the core concept is so good taht they’ve been able to get away with half assing it for so long.

I read that and thought how whatever you think of Hogwarts Legacy, at least its in a genre thats actually popular with players...

That’s what happens when you have a studio that is famous for making one kind of game and then you get them to make the complete opposite...which is in a dying genre.

I don’t think looking at it from the perspective of the cost to EA is the best way to look at it, it’s still someone’s *face* it's still valuable regardless of how many players are in the game.
