PR speak is controlled to such an infuriating level that its genuinely suprising when they say the quiet part out loud.

Hell of a lot of irony in this comment.
That’s the new Kotaku, all the writers who didn’t want to do the trend chasing that the boss demanded (seriously Patricia was asked her why they wernt writingg CoD or Fortnite guides) either got fired or left.
I was thinking about this too, I’ve been in Japan the last 2 weeks and in Yodobashi Camera the gamepass logo was everywhere....in the laptop section.
Asylum and City were mid huh? The Asylum and City that have universal acclaim? Those Asylum and Citys?
I don’t think the plan of “getting the positive voices out there” plan is going to work.
Yeh I’m with you. Now I have been *educated* what it is, do I think it should be changed? Absolutely, especially considering the other parts of this game it all adds up to something not great.
God speed Bobby.
“Ahead of its time” is normally something I associate with a great idea that noone was ready for but always online DRM is a bad thing whether it becomes common place or not.
When the industry says live service they mean something very specific. Fortnite and Destiny is what people mean by live service, just being online is not what the definition of live service has come to mean.
This ain’t boneheaded they knew exactly what they were doing.
“We are gratified...”
I doubt it, Microsoft arnt morons, they were able to purchase them because of their weakened position so they would have been well aware that this settlement was a possibility.
I use a website called the Game Collection, you get points (quite a lot) with every purchase and then you can use them to get a small discount or bank them until you can afford a game for nothing.
It’s “perfectly sensible” in as much as its perfectly legal and makes them money.
Well I hope they like review bombing cause this is gonna inspire so much more of it
“ruining the Rockstar mystique”
While big games take 5-7 years now and in the mean time these remasters are not being made by those same A teams, it does make me wonder what those B teams could do if they were allowed to create.
Thats what I think, this isn’t *that* much different from the next gen upgrades we got at the start of the gen. But the timing of this and actually using the name “remaster” is what’s raising eyebrows I think.
AI was a big talking point in the recent writers and actors strikes I dont think that would be the case if it was just a pipe dream.
