Trump’s cameo had been cut from Canadian airings of Home Alone 2 long before anyone knew or cared about his political ambitions.

Now playing

Just to put things in perspective, here’s a cartoon from 1933 which includes a cameo of a singing Adolf Hitler, back when he was considered just another wacky foreign politician. Lots of other outdated cultural attitudes as well.

Electric helicopters really need something like a Mr. Fusion to really get them off the ground, so to speak.

In the same way that this is a car

Because if you really cared about the earth, you wouldn’t be so worried about how it looks.

It’s what a truck is supposed to look like. It’s a tool, not a fashion accessory for the insecure.

I imagine piloting that thing across a frozen lake at 90+ MPH would feel pretty fast even today.

If you want to be pedantic, they really should have been called “looms”

On a bit of a tangent about “three on the tree”, I was looking at some old custom car pics, and apparently when column shifters were relatively new, converting a floor mounted shifter to a column shift was a popular way to make your ride look cool and modern.  Of course, once every car had them, stick shifts were cool

If he can’t be trusted with Twitter, are you really comfortable entrusting him with say, nuclear launch codes?

It shows what a bunch of idiots they are that they think Trump will have their back.

There was a Dumbass Pride aka anti-mask march here before Christmas, and one of them was waving a “Trump 2020" flag. This is in Canada.

I like to build models, but it’s at an abyssmally slow pace. Here’s one where I modified a Monogram ‘36 Ford into a late ‘40s/early ‘50s style lead sled.

They important thing is that they get there.   This stuff is good for everyone, regardless of how you swing politically.

A little bit from Column A, a little from Column B. You had a whole class of what were called “assembled car”, where the manufacturer bought components from a variety of sources, and put it all together like the way  they build PCs now.

Spot the furry.

I’d say the most important thing up here in Canada was that all the political parties had at least enough sense to take this seriously. Not that this means that Canadian leaders were especially smart or virtuous, but it shows what a pitifully low hurdle Trump and his followers failed to clear.

It looks like it has a proper roll bar,  so you could conceivably race it.  Just the just if someone wants to do a vintage race series where people don’t have to worry as much about actually racing.

Think of it as a model car that you can actually drive.

Rear wheel drive is revolutionary? Just out of curiosity, which wheels do you think they used back then?
