My apartment still receives mail for a number of previous tenants. I bought a stamp that says “Address unknown: Return to sender” that I apply and then put the notes in my outgoing mail box. Over the past year, I’ve started to receive a lot less mail for other people. https://www.amazon.com/RETURN-SENDER-Inking-Rubber-

My postman told me first class mail in someone else’s name, put not at this address and put it in the outgoing box. All other mail, keep or trash. This applies to free samples and magazines.

I’ve known a lot of parents whe started swim lessons at 4-5 months when this instinct is still active. They seem to start losing it at around 6 months. If you take them into the water and get them comfortable with it early, then continue through the period where the instinct goes away they’re more likely to maintain

At least his wipers won’t stick to the windshield. #silverlining

This is a worse failing than the inability to drive stick.

I’ve heard like others that you need at least $1 on the card for this to work. I’ve started converting the remaining balance to an Amazon gift card. That way I know the card is used entirely.

A group of us like to save up all the stuff we got that we don’t want & have a Christmas in July yard sale where we donate all the sale proceeds to our local animal shelter & donate the unsold stuff to other charities. Both the fun of the yard sale & the fundraising make us actually look forward to getting stuff we

Everything but “Christmas at Ground Zero” by Weird Al.

Absolutely. My family had one tree that had been around since before I can remember. My parents had continued to use that same tree until about three years ago when my sister and I bought them a new one. I’m 28 now, so that tree was easily 20 years old by the time it got thrown out. I don’t know anyone who buys an

Twenty Christmases is absolutely not out of the question for an artificial tree. My parents bought one in 1980-something. I grew up opening presents under that tree. When my wife and I bought our first house in 2005, they gave that tree to us. We used it for ten more years before deciding really needed a smaller one.

... but you’d have to use your fake tree for about twenty Christmases before it became a better environmental bet than a real tree. That’s bad news for most fake tree fiends, as the average lifespan for an artificial tree is more like six years, and especially for folks who go trendy with their fake trees—you

If we took the bones out, it wouldn’t be crunchy, would it?

I can’t believe I forgot that one. Okay, only two good Christmas songs...

Oh.

Perhaps call it the “Best Time”, because you listed a number of valid reasons, but don’t call it the “One Correct Time”. That implies that those who don’t follow the rule are doing something wrong, and quite frankly, those who take fault in someone else’s traditions come off as pretty ignorant. This whole article
