I agree with that last sentence, I think the rest of it is true, locally. Widen the scope, and things start looking a lot more dynamic and a lot more novel, imho.

An outlier of what, though? The event you’re focused on - what the polls you’ve been watching predict - or of a much larger process you’ve failed to notice, now intruding into your field of vision? I’m going with that second one.
It’s my sense that they are using the wrong models, entirely. They appear to be assuming voter responses similar to those of recent election cycles, when something different is going on.
White slavemistresees held power positions, and abused the fuck out of them. Women of all socioeconomic stations punch down viciously in order to preserve their own limited privileges, groaning beneath the weight of those above them. Women of all classes heinously abuse those in their power - children, servants,…
That “system” does include women. Ignoring that doesn’t strike me as a good call for the sake of women.
Me too, in no small part because it’s so often used to point us at supporting a particular woman who, when you step back, herself fails to adequately support other women.
Sorry for the monster delay in replying to your very thoughtful reply; life and holidays, and I wanted to give it the focused thought it definitely merits, as opposed to just flying by.
Thank you!! And genuinely - this kindness just lifted my spirits, for real.
Reconsidered comment; may be I've had too long a day.
I agree with a lot of what you say here: a lot of the ugliness other people put out there is stuff that we alone can’t change, and so much of the crap out there isn’t really personal in the sense that we’re just the latest person to slam into their structure of thought. And totally, of course: letting go of that…
Completely agree. Overwhelming children with information beyond their capacities is a terrible idea; there is a LittleMachine, and my bookshelf includes linear yards of nightmare fuel. She will not be getting near a lot of my lit for a while.
Thank you!
Thanks! Imho, D&G are where it’s at, even more so than are two turntables and a microphone.
While I left scorch marks exiting Catholicism, and will not be returning in part because of their intellectually indefensible and Biblically bizarre positions on women (such crap hermeneutics), I need to give credit where due: there is a reason women are historically loyal to the Catholic Church, and that is because…
No. We have too much unresolved social trauma, nationalism, and focus on money. Religion doesn’t actually make the top three, if you go count the bodies. Real talk: there are stats for this.
This is a good question, and it has answers.
Oh boy, that family of his. Have they been taking notes from some of my in-laws?
This is simply not true. People do things for reasons we can explain, if we’re willing to wade through the work of doing so.
I AM SORRY TO YELL BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT: WHAT THE HELL IS ACTUALLY GOING ON WITH COURTNEY STODDEN’S LEG.
