I suspect that many/most of the viral “cop food tampering” anecdotes are mistaken or even just made up entirely. They’re dedicated to pushing the idea that the people are the aggressors, rather than the police.

Coaching staff has some good additions, guys who are ready to think outside the box and instill a winning culture.
Acquiring tastes of any kind - drink, food, music, art, different cultures, etc etc - can be a rewarding and enriching experience. I don’t think of it as “work” so much as just, new experiences and variety in life.

I’m also not a huge fan of Thompson’s conclusion that “being arrested twice and facing those consequences” might be what helps Doc recover. Clearly the man is suffering internally, just read the quotes in this story. He’s facing consequences every minute of every day.
