I suspect that many/most of the viral “cop food tampering” anecdotes are mistaken or even just made up entirely. They’re dedicated to pushing the idea that the people are the aggressors, rather than the police.

The exact opposite of “an isolated incident.”

They also up-charge for the damn pan crust now too. And I agree it’s not as good as it was back in the day.

Stuff comes up - for example you unexpectedly get an offer for an internal promotion, or through personal connections you end up with an opportunity at a new company on short notice. You don’t necessarily have to be job hunting.

THC metabolites are detectable in urine for 30 days or more for regular users. You don’t always have that much advance notice - even if you stopped smoking weeks ago you still may need some help in passing a test.

Creatine (or more accurately, metabolized creatinine) is also what they test when checking for urine test sample dilution, so along with a whole bunch of water it can help you pass that pesky pre-employment drug test. Heard from a friend.

Coaching staff has some good additions, guys who are ready to think outside the box and instill a winning culture.

Acquiring tastes of any kind - drink, food, music, art, different cultures, etc etc - can be a rewarding and enriching experience. I don’t think of it as “work” so much as just, new experiences and variety in life.

White Claw: THE choice for active functioning alcoholics everywhere

Have a White Claw and calm down there buddy, it’s a pretty widely-held opinion that beer and wine (and spirits) are indeed acquired tastes. Certainly matches up with my own experience anyway.

5 slices seems about right for a sandwich. However my question is: if it’s supposed to be a single serving, why is the package resealable?

I’ll keep making this comment because The Takeout keeps featuring it: cops joking about arrests on social media (taco emoji lol) is unprofessional and unethical.

Objectifying women and topping it off with the slur “Tranny” isn’t cool man.

If you do some trades it may backfire and supporters will rally behind your opponent. It’s better to just let them self-defeat every day and then you can magically win next fall.

I thought the HHGG movie was a decent enough watch. Obviously not in the same league as the books, but then again no movie could be. Taken on its own terms I thought it was worth watching.

The Yankees might be the odds-on favorite to win the World Series this year, but the Clippers are still gonna be fun to watch.

There’s a fairly decent chance that if you bend down to pick anything up in Syracuse you’re gonna end up pricked by a needle or cut by a glass vial.

I’m also not a huge fan of Thompson’s conclusion that “being arrested twice and facing those consequences” might be what helps Doc recover. Clearly the man is suffering internally, just read the quotes in this story. He’s facing consequences every minute of every day.
