At least one employee complained to legislators about his obsession.

1202 also happens to be the projected number of losses for the Royals this year.

At least the papers and networks aren’t quite the gatekeepers they once were.

I think the focus on constant movement has always been there - when I worked in fast food for a summer many moons ago, the saying went “if there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean.”

Ask the Salty Waitress: Is it OK for me to take a two-by-four to my coworker’s head for slowing down the line?

I’m not interested in taking part in this dispute, but I am wondering why you put a screenshot of a comment thread within that same comment thread.

Pretty sure it’s just you.

“Take shrooms and stuff will be interesting” is an evergreen take and I fully support it.

There are much worse examples than this, but I am not a big fan of the jokey social media presence that law enforcement agencies tend to cultivate these days. Any day you need to interact with the police is probably not a happy day no matter the specifics. Sometimes it seems like the agencies are leveraging human

Does choclatey automatically opt-out of the adware and browser plug-ins and whatnot that many of these freeware apps try to push during install? That's one of the best things about Ninite, even leaving convenience out of the equation.

IF they are endangering employees with unsafe sound levels, yes that’s a problem like I’ve already said several times. If it’s merely subjectively loud but not measurably unsafe, they aren’t endangering anyone.

It’s got nothing to do with trusting you. I agree there should be an inspection and enforcement mechanism to control for this. I’m just saying that assuming basic safety is maintained, it’s up to the restaurant owners to decide on the place’s ambiance, and they get to live with the consequences good or bad. If a

Right, but it’s one thing to subjectively say a restaurant is “loud” and another thing for it to actually be above those safe levels. The former is a business decision the restaurant is within its rights to make, the latter is not.

As long as noise levels aren’t actually hazardous to people’s health, to me it’s really a problem that takes care of itself. People who dislike a lot of noise won’t end up eating at a loud place. If enough potential customers feel that way, the joint will go out of business.

How about get rid of that, plus the salary cap, plus the draft while we’re at it.

I think the “my pleasure” kind of stuff is a bit corny, to me the real advantage of CFA is that it’s truly FAST food. McDonald’s drive-thru lines can sit forever without moving an inch, but even during peak times the CFA line keeps moving.

I’m a non-Bostonian Sox fan, and every time I hear some passing reference to something being said on Boston sports talk radio it’s like the worst fucking garbage anyone could imagine. At best it’s only impossibly stupid, but usually it’s also actively malicious.

Yeah seriously, they've only been at it for 5 or 6 thousand years. What do they know?

This is good advice for people of any age, really. If you don’t spend your 20's 30's and 40's focusing on your own ego, obsessed with career “accomplishments” and shutting out thoughts of your own mortality, you won’t feel an attachment to those modes of thinking as you grow older.

The current iteration of America necessitates straight hard liquor. Excessive brain cell activity can be psychologically damaging.
