The entire NCAA setup is inherently anti-capitalist, but yes the ban on sponsorships and endorsements is particularly egregious.

Capitalists can’t just snap their fingers and create demand. Absent an overly burdensome taxation scheme, the vast majority of providers and customers would prefer operating in a legal market over risking arrest. An evil bastard with 20% market share is far less damaging than that same bastard with 100% market share.

What did this police sting do to limit the existence of those scumbags? As always the people arrested are almost without exception just customers and sex workers.

This is like the old argument about how buying weed was funding murderous Mexican cartels. It’s true but it also fails to address the fact that with a stroke of a pen, the murder and suffering could be largely removed from what should be a non-violent transaction among consenting adults.

Of course, legalizing and regulating sex work would all but eliminate the trafficking aspect. These “stings” and crackdowns are no different than drug war raids, they get a flashy press conference, maybe a big name or two, and they change absolutely nothing.

Honestly though who hasn’t tangled with a vegan about dogs drinking cat milk. I have my own stock arguments for it and so do you.

Ah OK. I’m guessing you have your reasons but to me the obvious answer is to just not do that.

Why would you keep a single Chrome instance running for two straight weeks? Just close your browser when you’re done for the day.

No just saying, you can pick your battles in life. It’s not healthy or fun to always be pissed off. Not that I’m the authority on anything, but craft beer culture strikes me as maybe one of those things that just isn’t worth getting worked up over.

Maybe the solution to the whole selective outrage thing is to just turn down the outrage in general. Once you’re mad online about one thing, it’s easy to call you out for not also being mad online about something else too. Maybe just stop being so damn mad online and have a beer.
