I would imagine that people could see problems with services like Netflix too, if they get geolocated in a different country. I subscribe to MLB.tv, which has always blacked out “local” broadcasts, and I’ve had to call their customer service a few different times to address incorrect blackouts resulting from bad…

I say just do a full wipe and clean install of the new build when you want to upgrade. I’d rather be making my own decisions about moving data around than trusting an in-place upgrade process to shepherd it properly.
