It was right after Halo 3 went gold that Bungie and Microsoft officially parted ways.

Brilliant idea for people stuck with those shitty scissor jacks.

I've been saying it for a while, and I'll say it again: If Netflix, RedBox, and Gamefly merged, and started sending their mailed discs in the RedBox kiosk cases so you could return 'em to the kiosks, they could easily drive most or all of the other rental chains out of business.

Halo was never an MMO. It was originally an RTS, then a third-person action-adventure, then they started edging toward FPS and Microsoft went "We want this as the flagship title for our new game console."

Make it an OPTION. Let the user decide whether they'd prefer it to retain settings, or revert to default every time.

You can get a Saitek X52 for under $100 if you look around a bit, or an X52 Pro for about $50 more. The only con is that the return-to-center spring is a little weak, but there's workarounds for that.

We *could* do better, yes, but these days all the game developers are so focused on MASSIVE SALES NUMBERS that nobody wants to take a chance on a niche game like those — and anything that's made primarily for a joystick is by definition a niche game. My one hope was the announced MechWarrior reboot, but that's pretty

I had one of those, too. Swapped it for a Logitech, and later for a Saitek X52, when I got Windows Vista (no Vista drivers or support whatsoever, at the time). I *LOVE* all the extra controls, and especially the full-size throttle, of the X52, but I really miss the force-feedback system on that old Sidewinder — I

200 years after Oblivion. Your character is dead.

I concur.

Seconded, so very much.

Blah. Give me back my Beast Wars/Beast Machines.

@fughedaboudit: A moderate amount of alchohol is actually good for your heart (1 glass of red wine per day is best, but equivalent amount of alcohol from another source is still okay).

@brijazz: Put the open side against a wall. Ta-da! Hidden power strip.

@Lightice: Technically, it's not a trebuchet. It's using elastic bands to swing the arm, not weight.

@syafiqjabar of Mars: The big problem with Patel here isn't his acting chops, it's the fact that he shouldn't have been cast anywhere near the Fire Nation, let alone Prince Zuko.

@Lonesharkx: That would be because it wasn't filmed in 3D; they used some funky post-production digital trickery to put in fake-3D. Most (if not all) of the movies in that list did the same thing, but none of 'em flubbed the job quite so badly as Titans.

@Koda89: Well, *humans* finding the first Halo didn't really make much difference. The *Covenant* finding the first Halo started the chain of events that led to the schism, and the Sangheilis' "Heel Face Turn". *That's* what really saved our bacon.

@dmcshinobi: Holy crap, that's some awesome art. The detail...I think my brain just broke.

@Death_By_SnuSnu: That's only in our solar system. The vast majority of exoplanets discovered so far have been "hot Jupiters" — gas giants much closer to their suns than ours.
