Surely an electric motor can be made large enough to turn a big prop or a giant water jet. Then it’s just a matter of having a big enough power supply. 

It’s a fuel cell. The same thing as used in the Mirai. I’m not a science man. 

You can make hydrogen at your house. However you’d be consuming more energy producing the hydrogen than what you’d get out of it. Plus you’d have to store it, which would consume more energy as hydrogen is typically stored at some pressure.
