The best part about that performance is that the Finnish group that came after it were forbidden to show their middle fingers in their performance. Which made watching that hand costume dance around with it’s middle finger in the air hilarious.

I think the point is that trans women are women, so any woman would do.

I am not trans, so take my opinion with the requisite grain of salt, but I doubt anyone would have been offended if they had just used a cis woman to dub her voice. I feel like the target is “a voice actor who sounds like the original actor” so the ideal is probably another trans woman, but .... definitely not a cis…
