This is sad news, but the main photo looks like Jean Reno cast in a Philip K Dick biopic, and that’s awesome.

Yeah, what kind of asshole doesn’t wish Charles dead?

‘Rabbit Snare' is among their best tracks imho

Norm? If there’s an uncredited Norm Macdonald cameo in there that I’ve overlooked for years then this is a silver lining to the news...

Oh yeah, the supporting cast is legitimately great. The lead actors, the effects, and the rapey seduction dream much less so.

Having read the novel I’d expect you’re right

Shoutout also to Dreamscape, a pretty terrible film elevated by Sydow and Plummer.

The greater tragedy is the absence of Michael Shannon. He – and the rest of the supporting cast – obviously didn’t get as much space to shine as Evans did, but I wonder if the sequel can top the joy of hearing Shannon protest “I will not eat one iota of shit!”.

FFS it’s ‘whose film’ not ‘who’s’. Isn’t there a basic literacy test before writing for this site?

I hate Jack White as much as the next guy, but I think you’ve forgotten about Madonna’s ‘tune’ for Die Another Day. Please share with us how you managed it.

Andrew Scott is by a long shot the best part of the film. There are definitely some decent shots (the bit where the protagonist wakes up and everything is on fire in particular) but the film as a whole isn’t a patch on Parasite (or Little Women, or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, or The Irishman...).

How did I only know about one of these? That’s fucking incredible.

It's been really fun talking to you, thanks

no worries pal, I should have been clearer! I’d also have liked a best supporting nomination for Julia Fox in Uncut Gems, but since not even Sandler got a look-in I assume no one at the academy actually saw the film.

I don’t think you’ve understood how being an MCU fan works ;)

If it’s not Toomes then that surprise reveal is just stupid.”
