It really is! :)

Their shit's been dispersed for a long time now. See how many nominations Jess Glyn has had, for example

Yeah, that is a good one. Clearly I need to listen to the songs on the soundtrack that I’m not already very familiar with.

I wonder if perhaps GotG2's soundtrack is more forgettable partially because the famous songs are too on-the-nose and eclipse the deeper cuts, and partially because of the lack of ‘awesome mix

Touché :)

Eh, was it that good in GotG2? I can genuinely only remember ‘The Chain’, and while I fucking love that song it felt too obvious, unlike the (comparatively) deep cuts used in GotG1.

I did not expect to find an image to support your argument so easily.

Waaaaay longer. They were good for five years last century, and we’re almost two decades into this one now.

Not as much as they hated that Jet album, but yeah: ouch.

Yep, that was some sub-Costello shit.

Oh come on, the first series was pretty mad, sure, but to say that it’s less acceptable than this is just ridiculous:

Dario Argento says the Suspiria remake has “no music”, which is a[ccurate]’

Hey man, I find Costello as dull as the next guy, but that’s just harsh.

Yeah, he’s absolutely the worst. Sure, he can beat the shit out of some drums, but his band is fucking terrible, and if I have to be told constantly that someone is a really nice person then I suspect that they’re actually a total prick.

...all that said, I’ve just seen that Grohl played ‘Everlong’, and fuck that guy.

To be fair, Melvins opened with one of their own songs, and since they’re better than everyone else mentioned in this article rolled together I’m unwilling to call it a dick move. Also they and Cornell surely went way back, and Metallica definitely toured with them too in the early ‘90s. I’d like to think that Cornell

I was going to suggest that making something that connected the previous seasons might be the crazy idea, but tbh I’ve only seen season 1 so I expect someone better informed than I am can shoot that idea down. From what little I know of 2 and 3, though, the timelines overlap so...

Yeah, I wonder if perhaps the Suspiria theme is already too deranged for the Fantômas touch to be that effective – much as I’d like to hear that song with ‘The Bit’-esque guitars and Lombardo’s drumming, it might sound like a straight cover compared to the other madness on that album.
