Only one masterpiece? I’m offended on the part of either Alien or Blade Runner. (Or both?)

Dang, good call. I was thinking more along the solo lines – somewhere between Pranzo Oltranzista and Laborintus II, but some assistance from Buzz and the gang wouldn’t go amiss either!
It had an Alice in Chains song in it though, and while obviously NIN>AiC it was good to hear ‘Rooster’ survive the apocalypse.
I can’t not read the headline quotation in this voice:
Maybe they wanted to avoid the Spitting Image look of Dominic West’s take on the character? Still, I was hoping for something more like Gary Oldman’s character in Hannibal. You’d think that they’d have the budget for it, even without Disney’s cooperation.
I’m still looking forward to giving the film itself a shot, but no surprise that Yorke’s soundtrack was so forgettable. Kudos to the general idea of breaking from the template set by the original, but I still think that this gig should have gone to Mike Patton, who’s demonstrated his suitability throughout his entire…
Yeah, good point. I will say for my local venue – Exchange in Bristol – that they’ve be struggling financially for ages and while that means that they really should have been more careful, it’s perhaps understandable why they weren’t. I don’t know of any such situation for the Camden Underworld, and it’s a pretty shit…
Ryan (Tosin Cole) could be played by a plank of plywood. Just. So. Wooden. Ugh.
I’ve always been very anti- having children, but if I can dare hope that any offspring might be just a fraction as awesome as your son then I might reconsider that. High fives to you and your kiddo :)
No.
For me.
The series has been surprisingly good so far given Chibnall’s track record, but he’s back on his old shit now. ‘B’ is several grades too generous for this turd of an episode.
Chibnall is fucking terrible, but I can’t say that this is a trend that I’ve spotted. Didn’t the doctor straight up murder the shit villain in ‘Dinosaurs on a Spaceship’?
I’ve been meaning to see this film for a while, but haven’t, and so can’t really comment on this one in particular, but this strange line between horror and comedy came to mind the other night when I saw The Fog, The Thing, and Halloween back to back. The Fog is... not great, but there’s a great moment when two…
I’m pretty sure he’s in hip hop. Most of the other genres do not feud.
It’s also ranked at least six places too high.
I agree, I just decided not to touch that hornet’s nest with the OP :)
I’ve not seen The English Patient but can it really be worse than Titanic, Shakespeare in Love, and Crash?
Also, now that I’m looking it up, it looks like the ‘90s was a terrible decade for best pictures. I love The Silence of the Lambs, but it seems odd to me that that was a best picture winner, let alone perhaps the…
I thought the season would end by revealing that Elektra had also survived the Midland Circle incident, but I guess she’s really dead?
