She was “wearing” the comics? This I got to see...

Well, shit.

You do know what ‘innumerable’ means, right?

Totally misread this as ‘Pantera bread’.

How disappointing :/

As one of those British reprobates who’s loved this film since August 2017, I can testify that this is some good shit.

Hateful Eight was legitimately better than Django Unchained, so you just be you.

I don’t think that either of those films (or any of his films that spring to my mind, i.e. Inception or Shutter Island) warrant a best (supporting) actor Oscar. Leo’s plenty great, imho, but he hasn’t yet given a performance that’s great. Let’s just give ‘im time.

“try to picture”, god dammit.

If I google ‘Captain America’ the images of Chris Evans show a man who is, at most, auburn, I’d say. That said, Cap is probably the prime target of the original comment alluding to Aryan übermenschen.

Shit, you’re right. Hemsworth was blond in at least one Thor film, though. I don’t think that Cap or Starlord have ever been anything other than brunette übermenschen.

Leaving aside the fact that only Hemsworth conforms to the implied Aryan standard, they’re all dudes so it’s ‘blond’, not ‘blonde’.

Aside from the fact that, as someone else has said below, ‘this year’s Get Out is Get Out’, I’d be super-psyched for any film which is described as such, because Get Out is genuinely amazing. I’m interested to see Ladybird but, despite any SJW credentials I may hope to possess, I don’t honestly expect it to be as good

And now we, the nobodies, shall go mad with power.

The Thing’? As in the John Carpenter film? If you’re suggesting that The Thing is Jewish then... that puts a whole new unpleasant spin on that film.

(Kidding, obviously, I know that Ben Grimm is variously known as ‘the Thing’ and just ‘Thing’.)

I don’t always says stuff like that (but when I do etc. etc.), but your quotation accurately summarizes my view on this. How do you infer from that entirely reasonable position (spoilers don’t bother me) that I believe that I have the right to decide how other people should enjoy something? Seems a bit of a leap.

The latest from the QotSA Twitter account seems to have abandoned the bullshit ‘lost in performance’ excuse. No doubt this new apology will be dissected as usual, but fwiw his remorse seems more genuine than many other apologies we’ve seen lately.

Unfortunately I’m one of the few people in the world who just cannot stand Queen – my increasing dislike of Muse over the years has coincided, I think, with them moving away from their original ‘Radiohead x Rage Against the Machine’ formula and into Queen-y territory.

That said, thanks for the recommendation – I

This is what happens when he doesn’t take his Medication

That’s surprising, because ‘Unsustainable’ (from the same year, iirc) came across as a woefully misguided attempt to inject the latest trend in pop music into a half-baked rock song. I’ll definitely give it a punt though – the last track that I enjoyed of theirs was ‘Supermassive Black Hole’, which as I recall

Haha sorry pal, you just left it wide open, what could I do? ;)
