Unless the same info is revealed by the seemingly all-seeing Bran to Jon, then it really didn't serve any point to the plot other than to tickle the audience.

Back half of S2/front half of S3 was the best run TWD has ever had, so there's that.
The Governor in the show was actually better than the comic one — more realistic, with his craziness more subtle instead of overt like in the books. It helped that David Morrissey did an excellent job playing the character. Probably had the realest fake Southern accent I've ever heard.
I get that it's cool to rag on this show — and it's by no means prestige television — but given it's the B show that likely has an even smaller budget than the already low-rent flagship show, this half-season was pretty good. Flawed at times, but still enjoyable for the most part. The Strand scene with the cosmonaut…
Huh. A mostly flashback episode that also managed to accomplish something in the present as well? Please tell me Scott M. Gimple is watching.
Having Varga end up being a fraud would go a long way toward improving my opinion of him as a character. As it stands, he's a far cry from the Gerharts, Hanzee Dent or Mike Milligan from Season 2 in my eyes. (I've not watched Season 1 yet.) None of his henchmen have done anything for me, either.
Correct. Varga broke the rules Nikki laid out. He should have had to suffer the consequences.
Carrie Coon, Olivia Sandoval and MEW have definitely been the highlight of this season.
I suspect these Chuck-Howard falling out scenes may not be the most remembered scenes of this show once it's done, but it was such a great payoff after nearly three years of setup, beginning with the revelation that it was Chuck, not Howard, who didn't want Jimmy around. It became clear since that revelation that…
This worked so well because despite us knowing what a sleaze ball McGill ultimately ends up becoming, we've still seen a flawed but somewhat decent human being most of these last several seasons. Watching Jimmy do something so incredibly cruel made me squirm.
I for the life of me can't imagine how the writers thought that brutal level of pacing was a good idea.
It's not a good sign with the "minor league" show accomplishes more in three episodes than the flagship show accomplishes in 16 episodes of its most recent season.
You're not the only one. Part of it, I think, is that I simply have low expectations for this show. Let's face it, FTWD only exists so AMC can cash in on the brand some more. They hired two writers from Once Upon A Time to head up the fourth season since the current showrunner is departing after this season — which is…
The Catwoman: Riddler.
The Riddler: Yes?
The Catwoman: You're mad, Riddler. Penguin finished Batman by now.
The Riddler: Why, that miserable waddling mountebank of a bird? He couldn't finish a bag of popcorn!
Not Season 7.
Didn't realize he had been cast, but it's apparently for four sequel movies. Good for him, and probably a better use of his talents than the mostly uninteresting Travis character.
A beautiful ending to a great show. Not much else I can say that hasn't already been said, both here and elsewhere. A shame this show didn't get more attention; it's one of the best I've ever watched, and it certainly has an argument of being an all-time great. Bravo, Perrota/Lindelof. Really going to miss this one,…
It was very true to the show's theme of leaving that sort of stuff up to interpretation. Glad they took that approach.
Could just be that they realized the blended family drama wasn't that interesting and corrected course. Killing off Travis in that manner leads me to believe that Cliff Curtis just wanted to do other things, personally.
Huh. Obligatory genre fiction contrived plots aside, this actually wasn't terrible — which, for this show, is progress. It doesn't bode well for the flagship show when this one accomplishes more in its first two episodes than it did during most of last season.
